This eleven acre historic site is near Walnut Hill, Arkansas. This was the family plot for the first governor of Arkansas, James Sevier Conway. He took office on June 15, 1836, when Arkansas was admitted to the union as the 25th state. While visiting Texarkana, or camping at Millowwd Lake or Logoly State Park, you can take a quick side trip to this area.

The tombstone is that of Governor Conway. The Plaque tells some of the history of this family and the land for the graveyard. Below is a pan of the whole site.
